OPC - Thai Orphanage

Vixen Internet Solutions launches the website for OPC, which is a non profit organisation.

The team at Vixen are very proud to have worked with OPC and we wish them all the best in their work in the community.

Vixen has designed the new OPC logo and building the website for them totally free of charge as our first sponsored project for 2009/2010.

the OPC website will be using the new Content Management System modules to be able to add new photos of activities with the children at the centre as well as volunteers at work. They will also be able to add their own news for programmes, activities and events at the centre at no cost.

OPC is a Thai Orphanage and learning centre/shelter near Mae Tong Son in the northwest of Thailand, 30 kilometres from the Thai Burmese border. The centre was founded in December of 2002 by five representatives from the Shan community who were involved in development and social work.

Over the past three years the centre has provided shelter, security and education for numerous underprivileged migrant, Burmese children. The shelter provides teaching in Shan,Thai and English language as well as basic skills such as cooking and farming. The shelter has a garden and rears farm animals such as pigs and chickens.

The website will encourage volanteers from across the globe to take some time to help with activities and training at the centre. There are currently 44 children at the centre.
